For the past 8 weeks I've been pursuing an intensive surface pattern design course with the incredible designer and teacher Bonnie Christine with the goal of mastering pattern design and producing a collection. It has been intense and I have learned so much in such a short amount of time. Despite the over 2,000 students in the class, the community has been so wonderful and supportive. Last night was the graduation ceremony for the Immersion course. I couldn't believe it when Bonnie Christine announced my name and said that she and her team of industry experts had chosen my design for the "best hero print award"! I'm feeling so elated and grateful. I may have cried a bit! Here is my hero print for my collection in progress. It is inspired by the Jardin des Plantes in Toulouse, which is currently beautifully in bloom and full of stunning works of art and yes, peacocks! I can't wait to show you more, and to hopefully get this collection licensed!
